Obituary of Art Hall
Art "Baby Arthur" Hall, 70 of Breakneck Hill Road, Dayville, died unexpectedly Saturday in an auto accident. He was born February 10, 1938 in Sterling, son of the late Lawrence and Alice (Frechette) Hall. The beloved husband of 50 years of Alice (LaPrade) Hall, they were married April 19, 1958 in ST James Church in Danielson.
He made his home with his brother in law and sister-in-law Tom and Charlene Stucke. Baby Arthur's hobbies included stock car racing at Thompson and Waterford Speedways. Although being deaf all his life he never ceased to amaze anyone with all his talent, including winning track champion a few times. He always put on a good show for his fans. Art was always a winner in his family's eyes. He enjoyed hanging with his family, working on cars, playing poker and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a very giving and loving man and would do anything for anyone.
He leaves his wife Alice, his best friend Bingo, his children Mark Hall and his wife Donna of Thompson; Gary Hall; Debbie Hall; Arthur A. Hall, all of Brooklyn; a daughter-in-law Alice R. Hall of Thompson, twelve grandchildren , Mark, Renae, Gary, Jennifer, Heather, Matthew, and Amber Hall, Jessica and Gary Cotnoir, Colby Evans, Brian Cutler, ten great grandchildren - Raegan Hall, Kiara and Alyssa Rainey; Branden Livingston; Dezirae Hobkins; Aydin Dumeer, Destinee and Faithe Normand. He was predeceased by a grandson Eric Hall, two great grandchildren - Briana Normand and Jayda Hall.
His funeral will be Tuesday at 10:15 from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam followed by a Mass of Christian at 11:00 AM in ST Anne's Church, Ballouville. Calling Hours Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ST Anne's Church.
