Alice L. Pepin, 80, of Thompson Avenue, Putnam, died Tuesday at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Arthur E. Pepin, Jr., they were married October 13, 1974. Born October 8, 1926 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Ardell D. and Marion D. Hopkins. She had made her home in Thompson for many years moving to Putnam in 1974. She was a very active member of the United Methodist Church of North Grosvenordale for many years serving on committees. and was the first coordinator of Community Kitchens. She enjoyed camping and was a member of the Red Hats. Alice volunteered her time in helping others and teaching crafts and skills to children and seniors to improve their quality of life. In addition to her husband Arthur she leaves her children: Harry Adams, Jr. and his wife Carol of Danielson; Betty Koski of Griswold; Charles Adams of Thompson; Marion Long and her husband Kenneth of Putnam; Debbie Krohn and her husband Holger of Thompson; a brother: Darius Hopkins of East Killingly; a nephew: Joseph Fleury of East Killingly; step children: Karen Clay of Alameda, CA; Roger Pepin of Plainfield, CT. Funeral Service be Friday at 11:00 Am at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Calling Hour Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
