Obituary of Earnest N. Fenner

Woodstock, Earnest N. Fenner, 72, of Woodstock, died March 6, 2009 in Wilmington, NC. He was the husband of Patricia (Keach) Fenner; married 47 years. Born October 23, 1936 in Putnam, son of the late Earl and Mary Fenner. He proudly served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1962. He worked in area textile mills for many years. He was a member of the Putnam United Methodist Church, was active with Boy Scout Troop 25, enjoyed the outdoors; he was a family man, an avid hobby train collector, loved to travel and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife Pat he leaves his children Michael Fenner and Sandy Sproul of Danielson; Debra Bruce and Daniel Hirst of Putnam; Mark Fenner and Christine Welch of Plainfield; Earnest Fenner, Jr. of Woodstock; Rebecca Fenner and William Abrams, Jr. of Killingly; grandchildren- Holly and Jared Peche of Woodstock; Amanda Fenner of Putnam; Mark, Kayla, and Heather Tetreault of Killingly; Madison and Wolfgang Abrams of Killingly, Jennifer Walker of Putnam; great granddaughter Autumn; several nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters: Eleanor and Ken Smith of Woodstock; Julia and Francis Duquette of Thompson; Ronnie and Marie Fenner of New Bern, NC and last but never least his dog Foxxy. A Funeral Service will be Friday at 10:30 AM at the Putnam United Methodist Church, 53 Grove Street, Putnam. No Calling Hours. Burial in the spring in Center Cemetery, Woodstock with Military Honors.
