Obituary of Alfred J. Langlois

Alfred J. Langlois, 74, of Sabin Street, died Wednesday September 24th at Haven Health Center in Danielson. He was the husband of Theresa (Credit) Langlois. They were married July 16, 1955 in St. Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam. He was born November 18, 1933 in Jewett City, son of the late Arthur and Almenda (Samson) Langlois. He attended St. Mary's School in Jewett City. He was employed for 33 years at Griswold Rubber in Moosup. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army He was a member of Post 21 American Legion of Danielson. He leaves in addition to his wife a daughter Debra Maloney and her husband Paul of Groton, grandchildren Dawn and her husband John Distler of St. Mary's, GA, Daniel Lavallee of Danielson, great grand children, Shawn Layne of VA, Deidre and Teya Distler of St. Mary's, GA, a sister Jeannette Couillard of Jewett City, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister Yvonne Guillet of Jewett City. Services are private. No calling hours. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 106 Route 32, Franklin, CT, 06254. Smith & Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
