Obituary of Alice M. Berti

Alice M. Berti, 91, formerly of Ella Grasso Apartments, Putnam, died 2008 Friday afternoon at the Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. She was the wife of the late Dino Berti, he died in 1984. She was born December 24, 1916 in New Market New Hampshire, daughter of the late Charles and Amanda (Fontaine) Landry.

 

She worked for many years at American Optical, retiring in 1969. She made her home in Putnam most of her life, a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation. She enjoyed her flower gardens and caring for them. Alice also enjoyed cooking, and family get-togethers.

 

She leaves two sons: Norman Berti of Burlington, Maine; Ronald Berti of Thompson; a daughter: Arleen Lamothe of Putnam; two sisters: Leah Dubois of Putnam; Diana McAdams of Brooklyn, grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew, Jennifer, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Yvonne, Anna, Merina, Irene and Arsene.

 

A calling hour will be Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam.
