Obituary of Alice R. Baker

Alice R. Baker, 96, of Quaker Road, Pomfret, died Thursday at the Haven Health Care in Danielson. She was the beloved wife of Thomas M, Baker, he died in 1990. She was born June 22, 1919 in Putnam, a daughter of Roscoe and Mabel (Capell) Chase. She had made her home in Pomfret most of her life. She enjoyed cooking and baking and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a loving mother. She leaves two daughters: Nancy Dibonaventura of Canterbury; Elise Lawrence and her husband George of Pomfret, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT with a calling hour Tuesday from 10:00 AM to time of service. Burial will be in South Cemetery in Pomfret.
