Obituary of Theresa M. Geer

Theresa M. Geer, 81, of Providence Street Putnam, died unexpectedly Monday morning at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl E. Geer. She was born November 2, 1926 in Putnam, daughter of Elphege and Viola (Mathurin) LaRochelle. She had worked for many years at the Belding Textile Mill in Putnam and retired in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam and had made her home in Putnam most of her life. She was a member of the Putnam Senior Citizens and served as their treasurer. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, crocheting and spending summers at Old Orchard Beach. She most enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves a son: Robert Geer; two daughters: Linda Rondeau and her husband Alan; Donna Campion and her husband James III all of Putnam; sisters: Jeanette Charland of Woodstock; Rita Watts of Maryland; a brother: Robert LaRochelle of Thompson, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; several niece and nephews. She was predeceased by a son: Earl H. Geer and a brother: Elphege LaRochelle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday June 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Calling hour will be Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Putnam.
