Obituary of Emily A. Westbrook

EMILY WESTBROOK, 61, R&D LIBRARIAN, PERFORMER, DIRECTOR Putnam- Emily A Westbrook of Sabin St. died at home Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 11:40 AM after a 2 year battle with cancer. She leaves 2 daughters, Andrea Husson, of Putnam, and Pamela Racicot, of Forks, Washington, and 2 granddaughters, Sidney Husson and Cari Racicot. Emily was the daughter of the late Donald and Marion Westbrook, of Liberty, New York. Emily has been employed as a Research Librarian at Rogers Corporation for many years and prior as a bookkeeper at Westview Health Care Center. She was a longtime resident of Northeastern Ct., most recently Putnam. Emily was well known in the community for her work with KCT, Bloomers, and TNECT at The Bradley Playhouse, as a performer, director, organizer, a member of TNECT's Programming Committee and later The Artistic Committee, as well as President of the Board of Directors for two years. She is considered a guiding force at The Bradley. She recently won The Spotlight Award from The American Association of Community Theatres. A Celebration of her Life will be held in her honor at the Bradley Playhouse, Putnam on Friday May 30th, at 7:00 pm, Coordinated by David Panteleakos and Bob Sloat. Donations in her memory may be made to TNECT at The Bradley Playhouse, PO Box 71, Putnam. Smith & Walker Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
