Obituary of Elizabeth E. Trumm

Elizabeth E. (Hebert) Trumm, 92, of Sabin Street, Putnam, died Wednesday May 21, 2008 at the Day Kimball Hospital. Born March 8, 1916 in Newfane, VT, daughter of the late Dana and Nellie Perry. She was the wife of late Theophile Hebert, Sr., he died in 1972, she married Arnold A. Trumm, he died in 1999. Elizabeth a graduate of the Ticonderoga Nursing School where she received her Registered Nursing Degree. She was a registered nurse in Vermont and later received her Connecticut license and worked for area convalescent home for many years. She made her home in Woodstock most of her life moving to Putnam eight years ago. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in N. Grosvenordale. She enjoyed cooking, reading, telling stories of her childhood, and was a former member of the Red Hats, she will be remembered for her love, kindness and her independence. She owned and operated a Dairy Farm on Cabbage Hill in Woodstock with her first husband. She leaves her son: Ted Hebert and his wife Sandy of Woodstock; grandchildren: Dan Hebert, Tim Hebert and his wife Tania and one great granddaughter and two greatgrandsons. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Debbie and a great granddaughter, Jessi. Elizabeth leaves her step children: Carol Benoit and her husband Don of Putnam; Arnold Trumm, Jr. and his wife Karin of Putnam; Allison Wilburn of Putnam; Philip Trumm and his wife Catherine of Franklin, TN.; 14 step grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; she was predeceased by a great grandchild, Kyle; She also leaves a sister Helen Noble of West Boylston, MA; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Richard, Ira, James and Mary Runnels. She leaves her beloved little dog, Missy. A memorial service will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 85 Main Street, N. Grosvenordale. Burial at a later date in Center Cemetery, Woodstock. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Emanuel Lutheran Church. The Smith & Walker Funeral Home is charge of the arrangements.
