Obituary of Mary G. Joslin

Mary G. Joslin, 82, formerly of Sabin Street, Putnam, died Tuesday morning at the Haven Health Care in Danielson. She was born October 9, 1925 in Waltham, MA, daughter of the late John F. and Anna (Coyne) Donahue. She worked as a bookkeeper, working for the Byrnes Insurance Agency and twenty years for the Day Kimball Hospital, she also worked for Dr. Brian O'Brien and Mrs. Elizabeth Love. She has made her home in the Pomfret-Putnam area most of her life. She was a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam. Mary was proud of her Irish Heritage. She enjoyed traveling throughout the US and the world. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods. She had a great love for her grandchildren and great grandchild. She leaves her son: Alan Joslin and his wife Jo-Anne of Putnam; a brother: Robert F. Donahue and his wife Marilyn of Florida; two granddaughters: Angela Stringer and her husband Jon of Pomfret; Elizabeth Joslin of Putnam; great grandchildren: Brook Nilan Stringer; Reagan E. Boledovic. She was predeceased by two daughters Judith Ann; Laura Eberle; brothers: Leo J. Donahue; Paul F. Donahue; and her former husband Randolph Joslin, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by burial in Grove Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Programs at Day Kimball Hospital, P.O Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
