Obituary of Dennis R. Lafortune
Dennis R. Lafortune, 52, of Woodstock, died unexpectedly, Monday, April 7, 2008. He was born April 21, 1955, son of Raymond and Pauline (Belleville) Lafortune.
He served in the US Air Force from 1975 to 1979 during the Vietnam Era. He was a pipefitter employed by Electric Boat in Groton for the last eight years and was a member of Union Local 777.
He is survived by Margaret (Peg Salvas) Wilson, a relationship of 18 years, his parents, his brothers Alan, James, Richard, his daughters Courtney Lafortune, Lindsay Sweeney, two grandchildren.
His funeral will be Friday, April 11, 2008 at 9:30 from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in ST Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Calling Hours Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial in ST Mary Cemetery, Putnam.
