Obituary of Dennis B. Sayles

Dennis B. Sayles, 64 of Richmond Road, Putnam, died Tuesday at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Lorena M. (Cournoyer) Sayles. Born June 4, 1943 in Putnam, son of the late Ernest and Eva (Tabis) Sayles. He had made his home in Putnam since 2001, formerly of Killingly, and worked for many years as a Maintenance Mechanic. He also was a licensed care provider for the Department of Mental Retardation from 1995 to 2004. A communicant of ST Anne Church in Ballouville. Dennis was very active in Killingly youth sports, baseball and football for many years. He leaves his wife Lorena, a son, Ernest Sayles and his wife Stacey of Hampton; a daughter, Hope Smith and her husband Brian of Brooklyn, a brother, Robert Sayles of Killingly, grandchildren Tyler and Kendyll Smith. He also leaves stepchildren, Michael Rainey of Pennsylvania, William Rainey and his wife Connie of Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in ST Anne Church, Ballouville Road, Ballouville. Calling hours Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT.
