Obituary of Ruth M. Brodeur

Ruth M. Brodeur, 92, of Danielson, CT passed away October 23, 2024 at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn, CT. She was born November 18, 1931 in Danielson, CT, daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Vevier) Schroth. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Donat Brodeur, he died October 27, 1992. They were married on June 6, 1953.

Ruth enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, traveling, watching crime shows and horror movies. She loved spending time with family and friends. She worked 30 plus years at Matulaitis Nursing Home in the kitchen.

She leaves her children Janet (Bill) Ploof, Wayne (Cindy) Brodeur, Carol (David) Taylor, Linda Bettencourt and Michael (Shawn Santomenno) Brodeur; her seven grandchildren and her seven great grandchildren; her one surviving sister Shirley Orr. Also, her nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 12:30 PM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT followed by a burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT. Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT.
