Obituary of Valarie A. Berube

Valarie A. Berube, 54, of Danielson, CT passed away on October 17, 2024 at W. W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was the beloved wife of Charles Berube. She was born on September 5, 1970 in Springfield, MA, daughter of James and Donna (Berta) Davis.

Val enjoyed the simple things in life, like reading a good book, relaxing outside in her yard, and watching birds. She loved spending time with her family and cats (Nike, Bella, Pepper, and Charlie). She passed her love of everything spooky and Halloween-related onto her daughters. She loved the Patriots and Red Sox but didn’t care who you rooted for as long as it wasn’t the Jets, Giants, or Yankees. Val had the most amazing, uncontrollable giggle that would have everyone cracking up. Anyone who had the pleasure to know Val would say she sure knew how to light up the room and always added humor wherever she could. 

She leaves her husband Charles Berube of Danielson, CT; her daughters Justine Nadeau-Petrella of Danielson, CT and Amber Nadeau of Thompson, CT; her stepdaughter Kira Berube of Plainfield, CT; her grandchildren Nathan (14), Aubree (8), Donovan (6), and Alden (3 months); her parents Donna Davis of Somers, CT and James Davis of Springfield, MA; and her sister Kelly Davis of Preston Hollow, NY.
