Obituary of Frederick J. Apley

Frederick Apley, 66, of Chapachet, RI passed away October 5, 2024 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was born at Day Kimball Hospital on April 14th, 1958, to Stewart and Evelyn Apley.

Frederick Apley was one of seven children. Brother Mark, Gary, Lauren and Neil. As well as his sisters Lisa and Clair. Frederick was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Joyce Apley of 45 years. He leaves behind his three children Elise Martin, Michael Apley and Allison Onny. As well as his 11 grandchildren Geoffrey, Daniel, Freddy, Jonathan, Ava, Sara, Thomas, Alex, Sonya, Samantha and Alice. Frederick also leaves behind his three dogs Lady, Daisy and Walter which he loved dearly.

Frederick and Joyce were high school sweethearts. They enjoyed going on trips. His favorite trip was when they went to Maui. He loved driving with Joyce around the road to Hanna. Frederick loved Hunting and Fishing, especially with his grandchildren. He also loved having family gatherings and watching his grandchildren play sports. Another favorite pastime that he looked forward to doing was to go out to breakfast with his son Michael and his big brother Mark. Frederick thrived on making his wife Joyce happy. Whether it was sending flowers to her work, taking care of her beautiful fish tank, or getting her swimming pool ready for the summer. He did everything with his wife in the forefront of his mind. Frederick was a caring man. He was a unique man with a heart of gold. He had a sense of humor like no other. He will never be forgotten and will be severely missed.

Calling hours will be Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
