Dear Sue, Allison and Elizabeth, Please accept my deepest condolences. Jay and I worked at Rutland Heights Hospital in Rutland, MA. He was a kind, sensitive, funny and caring man. Over the years we kept in touch with each other, as well with all the other people we worked with at Rutland Heights Hospital (Mental Health Unit). We were a group of people that made many changes in the lives of those under our care. We were all advocates for people with disabilities. I will miss Jay's sense of humor, his spirt, his laughter and pranks that he played on many people. Jay, will be missed deeply. Sincerely, Jane Didzbalis

My name is Joseph Paolo and I am new to the Woodstock Town Hall family. I had only known Jay for a short time, but in the handful of interactions we had had together he had left quite an impact. He was a very wise and caring man. We shared alot of interests and laughs including Mel Brooks quotes. He will be greatly missed. On behalf of myself and the Paolo Family, we ask God to bless the Swan family with peace and comfort.
Sincerely,
Joseph Paolo

At 98 years old my father, Bob Reichel, proudly walked into the Town Hall to vote for his best buddy, The Boss (as he called him many years before he was elected). Dad wouldn't accept any help. We watched as he struggled to sit down, then struggled to get back up with a huge smile on his face. He put the paper in the ballot box and turned to whisper to me in his old man voice . That's the first time I have ever voted for the other side!"
Thank you for sharing Jay with us all these years. I have had the privilege to know and love him since I was young. First when he worked with Mom at Dempsey and later when he and Dad became friends. He will be greatly missed!
