Obituary of Mark A. Stevens

Mark Andrew Stevens, 52, of Woodstock, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at UMass Medical Center on February 3, 2024, with his family by his side, following complications from a heart attack in December.

Mark was a 1989 graduate of the Woodstock Academy. He completed his post high school graduate work at Ellis Technical School. Mark was a former member of the Muddy Brook Fire Department. Mark was a skilled tractor trailer and long-haul driver and trainer for many years. He was an avid cook and had worked creatively creating meals at Cindy’s Four Corners restaurant. Recently, Mark was employed as a tow truck driver. Mark was loved by many and will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, his talent for creating wonderful food and his love of his nieces.

Mark leaves his mother Signe Stevens of East Woodstock, sisters Susan Blackshear (Doyle) of Griswold, Jennifer (John) of Gulf Shores, brother Scott (Amanda) of Woodstock and nieces Ashton, Abigael and Aylin. Mark was predeceased by his father Francis Stevens.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Muddy Brook Fire Department, Woodstock Ambulance, the Southbridge Medic and especially the UMass 3 Lakeside ICU staff for their care and compassion during Mark’s illness.
