Obituary of Miriam E. Borders
Miriam Elsie Borders,83, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023, at Matulaitis Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry Borders, her daughter Beverly Jean Bessette, her son George Philip Bessette Jr. and her Grandson Chace John Wood. She was the daughter of the late Lucien Baribeau and Elsie (Levola) Baribeau of Danielson.
Miriam spent several years working for the Killingly School system as a bus aide, Westview Manor and Delta Rubber.
Miriam was an avid bingo player, even while she was at Matulaitis. She enjoyed long drives, gardening, and ice cream. She collected baseball cards that she loved to share with Albee. She enjoyed yard sales, having them and going to see what other people had at theirs.
Miriam is survived by her daughters Joanne E. Demars of Danielson, Michele L. Connolly and her husband Myles of Dudley MA and Lisa M. Wood and her husband Lance of Danielson. Her daughter-in-law Susan Larkin-Bessette. Her step-sons Albert Borders of South Killingly, Greg Borders and his wife Cathy of Danielson, Keith Borders and his wife Tracy of Texas, and her step-daughter Gayle Kryzwda and her husband Frank of Vermont. Miriam is survived by 11 Grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
A Calling Hour will be on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. Burial will be in South Brooklyn Cemetery Brooklyn, CT.
