Jeanne I. LaRose, 89, of Chase Road, Thompson, CT, died Monday evening at the Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. She was born September 15, 1920 in Putnam, daughter of the late Napoleon and Elise (Chovan) Jodoin. Jeanne had made her home in Thompson since 1982, living in Putnam and Baltic. She worked for over thirty five years at the American Optical Company, working in Putnam and then Southbridge, MA. She leaves her son John LaPointe and his wife Ann of Thompson; two grandsons: Scott LaPointe of Brockton, MA; Glenn LaPointe of Canterbury; five grandchildren Kelli; Maggie; Trinity; Stephen, Samantha, her companion of 12 years, Ernest Chamberlain of Baltic, CT, also a close friend Arlene Deasy of Danielson, two nephews and a niece. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry L. LaPointe, December 16, 1970, and her former husband Henry LaRose, a sister Antoinette Lepine, a brother Camille Jodoin. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, February 2, at 11:00 am, at ST Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, burial at ST Mary Cemetery in the spring.
