Obituary of Pauline T. Dina
A most beautiful and gentle soul has gone on her final journey. Pauline Theresa Dina, 87, passed peacefully on September 30, 2023.
Pauline was born on November 17, 1935 in Danielson and made her home on Route 21 in Putnam for many years. Pauline worked at Zip’s Diner and as Senior Teller for Danielson Federal Savings and Loan. She and her husband also owned and operated Crackers Restaurant in Plainfield for several years.
Pauline was the heart and soul of her family. A caring and selfless woman, her wants were very few. If obstacles were ever in her way, she would find a way to persevere and move on. She had a love for nature and music and enjoyed spending time with her family and special friends. Pauline had many expressions for all occasions. One of her most quoted was “Smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone”. These were words she lived by.
Pauline is survived by five children; Debra (David) Keeler, Donna Adamczyk McGowen, Stephen Adamczyk, Alex (Lilian) Dina and Alexis Pauline Dina. She also leaves three grandchildren Shawn McGowen, Evelyn Dina Falcone and Ariana Dina, her sisters Doris Bernier, Germaine Gaudreau and Marie LeSage as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Dina, who died on March 13, 2008, her parents Simeon and Angeline (Beauchemin) Lefrancois, her sisters Clara Fleming and Simone Niles and her brother Leo Lefrancois. She was also predeceased by her loyal and loving dog, Beatrix, who taught her that dogs were "much more than just a dog.”
