Obituary of Elaine Anne Kamuda

Elaine Anne Kamuda, 68, of Danielson, CT passed away peacefully Sunday, July 16, 2023  after a long illness at Davis Place Nursing Home with her husband Peter and family by her side. Born January 16, 1955 in Putnam, CT, daughter of the late Rene and Gertrude (Counoyer) Lalumiere.

Elaine attended Killingly High School and was married at St. James Church in Danielson, CT. She grew up in Danielson and enjoyed many summers at the family cottage at Alexander’s Lake in Dayville, CT. Elaine also enjoyed shopping and making pierogies for her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters taking them for manicures. Most of all she loved coffee, chocolate, lobster and sweets.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years Peter Kamuda of Danielson, CT; her son Joseph Kamuda and his wife Lisa of Danielson, CT; her daughter Rebecca Kamuda of Danielson, CT; her grandchildren Anjoli Kamuda, Hailey Kamuda, Owen Beaulieu and Olivia Beaulieu; her great granddaughter Layla Grace; her brothers Robert Lalumiere, Richard Lalumiere and his wife Maryann; her sisters Denise Verba and her husband Robert and Jeanine Lajeunesse. Also several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Davis Place for the excellent care she received at the facility.

A Calling Hour will be Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT.
