Obituary of Theodore E. Erskine

Theodore E. Erskine, 47, of High Street, Dayville, died Friday, January 4, 2008 at the Day Kimball Hospital after a long illness. Husband of Lora (Williams) Erskine, they were married June 5, 1982 in ST Alban's Church in Danielson. He was born August 16, 1960 in Putnam, son of the late Robert "Eddie" and Donalda "Donna" (Darling) Erskine, Sr. He made his home in Dayville for 25 years, formerly of Pomfret and was a member of ST Alban's Church in Danielson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, was an avid gardener and played Dart Ball at the Abington Congregational Church. He worked as an auto mechanic for Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Putnam and Norwich, retiring in 1998 due to illness. In addition to his wife Lora, he leaves his children: Ray Erskine of Dayville; Erica Erskine of Dayville, his brothers: Robert Erskine, Jr. Danielson; Thomas Erskine Moosup, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 9th at 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church, 527 Pomfret Street, Pomfret. Calling Hours Tuesday, January 8th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam.
