Obituary of Diane Marie Huntley
Diane Marie Huntley, 63, of Danielson, formerly of Dexter, Maine, died December 15, 2007 at Day Kimball Hospital. She was born August 22, 1944 in Dexter, ME daughter of the late Ruth York and Francis Huntley, and raised by Ella and Halva Huntley. Numerous family members survive her including sisters Deloris Pomerleau, Maria Lewis, Carmen Burgess, Darlene Wark and brothers Bobby and Dennis Huntley, and Aunt Betty Nelson. She is predeceased by sister Ann Batchelder and brothers James and Allen Huntley.
She worked as a quality control inspector at Anchor Glass Corp. until its closure, at which time she retired. An avid bowler, she traveled the country competing in tournaments. A firm believer in education, she attained two associate degrees, one in general studies and one in human services. Additionally, she was a member of the Wellington Historical Society, in Wellington, ME. She had a passion for books, animals, fishing and loved spending time with her friends. She was beloved by all who were fortunate enough to call her friend and will be greatly missed. In keeping with her advocacy of education, she chose to be an Anatomical Gift Program Donor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
