Obituary of Theresa Marie Neumann-Manthorne

Theresa Marie Neumann-Manthorne, 90, of Woodstock, was welcomed with Dignity into the Lord's arms on December 17, 2007. She was born August 19, 1917 in Danielson, daughter of the late Nellie and Joseph Meunier. She was predeceased by her husband Wilbur D. Neumann, her daughter Joy Neumann Coviello. She is survived by her second husband Arthur E. Manthorne of Woodstock; her son: Wilbur D. Neumann, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Canterbury; daughter: Nancy Neumann Heiny and her husband Larry of Phoenix, AZ. She also leaves 4 granddaughters: Lesley Joy Coviello of Jacksonville, FL; Emily Brooke McMahon of Woodstock; Dr. Heather Eden Neumann of La Jolla, CA; Jessica Marie Neumann-Bradley of Narragansett, RI and 5 great-grandchildren. Besides her devotion and love to her family and friends Terry's many accomplishments included co-founder of The Shoppers Guide - Turnpike Buyer, past president of the women's department at the Woodstock Fair, and volunteer work for the Women's Auxiliary at Day Kimball Hospital. Her other endeavors included her interest in fine antiques which led to many years of running Red Farm House Antiques and professional antique appraisals. She was also a Nursery School Teacher at the Woodstock Hill Church and a teacher at ST James School in Danielson. Her other interest included foreign exchange students, knitting, cooking, music, traveling and of course her beloved brook behind her house.
