Obituary of Mary Rhoades

Mary Rhoades, 67, of Danielson, CT passed away March 30, 2022 at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn, CT. She was born January 20, 1955 in Englewood, NJ. Mary was raised by her late foster parents Frank and Rita Babcock. She was the beloved wife of Allen Rhoades they were married on June 6, 1975 in Thompson, CT.

Mary worked for Delta Rubber for 32 years ending her career as a Lab Tech. She liked the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and the UCONN Women’s Basketball. She enjoyed motorcycle travel and had a great sense of humor. Mary was an avid reader, shopper, puzzle solver and cat person.

She leaves her husband Allen Rhoades of Danielson, CT; her sister Christine Coleman and her husband Mark of Willington, CT; her sister in law Kathy Rhodes; her nieces and nephews Sandy Kulterman (Tim), Shari Ternowchel (Chris), Katie Smith (Brandon), Matthew Coleman (Minerva), James Coleman, Tom Rhoades, Debbie Gilbert, Valerie Rhoades (Janice); her several great nieces and nephews and her great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Guy Henries.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. A Private Graveside will be held in South Pomfret Cemetery Pomfret, CT. Share a memory at www.gagnonandcostellofh.com
