Obituary of Bernadette A. Credit

Bernadette A. Credit, 80, of Ballou St. Putnam, died unexpectedly Tuesday at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the beloved wife of Emile Credit, he died March 20th 2006. Born February 6, 1927 in Putnam, daughter of the late Oscar T. and Ida Rose (Coderre) Martel. She had made her home in Putnam all her life, a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation and a graduate of ST Mary School. She was an assistant manager at the former Woolworth Department Store in Putnam for ten years, and previously worked at Belding Hemmingway. She enjoyed reading, typing, knitting and crocheting. She moved to the Ella Grasso Apartments a year ago, where she enjoyed her new home and her many new friends. She leaves a sister: Jeannette Jodoin of Putnam, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Calling hours Saturday 10:30 to 12:30 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at ST Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT.
