Obituary of Patricia S. Krushefsky

Patricia S. Krushefsky, 72, of Woodstock Valley, died unexpectedly December 4, 2007 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Lawrence Krushefsky, who died in 2005. She was born in Taunton, MA on November 21, 1935, daughter of the late Theodore Arthur and Simonne (Prickett) Darling. She was a graduate of the Putnam High School and the Backus Hospital Nursing Program in 1956. She was a registered Nurse for forty years, retiring in 1996. She was employed at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam as a medical surgical nurse for over 20 years and had a great passion for her work. Patricia, throughout her life was very involved in many civic groups such as the local Boy Scout Troop and Woodstock Little League, coaching for many years and enjoyed being involved in a variety of Senior Citizen organizations. She loved gardening, crafts, yard saling, bingo, cards and dominoes. Patricia's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Patricia leaves three loving children and their families, a son Jeffrey Krushefsky, and his wife Laurie of Sturbridge, MA; daughter Laura Krushefsky of Southbridge, MA; and Kim Love and her husband William, of Covington, GA. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren who gave her, her greatest joy: Brianna, Billy, Jacob and Bailey and her brother Theodore A. Darling of Scottsdale, AZ. A Memorial Mass will be Monday at 11:00 AM in Most Holy Trinity Church, 568 Pomfret St., Pomfret, CT. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to the Backus Foundation in Support of Nursing Education, 326 Washington St., Norwich, CT 06360.
