Obituary of James A. Beshaw

James (Jim) A. Beshaw, Sr., 82, of Canterbury, CT, passed away on October 6, 2020 after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was born on November 16, 1937 in Alburgh, VT. Son of the late Arthur and Alda (Patnaude) Beshaw. He was the beloved husband of Brenda (Courtois) Beshaw. They were married on February 27, 1965 and were together until Brenda died on April 10, 2017.

Jim grew up around, and loved dairy farming. Jim spent several years working together with his Father running a successful dairy farm in Eastford, CT. Jim was also a truck driver for a number years working both as a self-employed driver as well as driving for Whitcraft LLC in Eastford, CT in his later years. Over the years, Jim volunteered his time as a baseball coach and scout leader. Jim was a huge sports fan and particularly enjoyed watching The Boston Red Sox and NY Giants. Jim was also an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed sharing stories about the Daytona 500 races that he was able to attend in the 1990’s. Jim also enjoyed wood working and was an accomplished amateur bowler.    

He leaves behind his children Lisa Leclerc of Kokomo IN, Art Beshaw of Woodstock CT, James Beshaw Jr. of Killingly CT, Derek Beshaw of Killingly CT, Brian Beshaw of  Canterbury CT, and Jennifer Beshaw of Chaplain CT.
