Dear Deb and family,
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I enjoyed working with him when he was at the Quinnebaug Trout Hatchery, and also with the parks. He seemed to always have a smile on his face, and was always willing to go the extra mile when needed. May he rest in peace. He will be missed.

To the Gilbert Family,
Deepest regrets and sympathy's we send your way.
Sorry to hear of the loss Of Jim....
I have gone through these same moments in time. I was comforted knowing the loss of a father, stays with us a long time. I found comfort, knowing their no longer in a vessel that has let them down.. Our dad's are free from their earthly life to live in Paradise. Knowing they did the best they could for us, who are left behind. We may grieve, they rejoice in, in a far better place, with a new vessel for the journey in Paradise. My word to Jon, brother and sister Mrs, Gilbert and all relatives,
"Rejoice"

Mr. Gilbert was awesome. Growing up a friend of Jons I got subject to the same punishments as he did in order for us to leave the house..This included carrying in copious amounts of wood..Jon couldn’t stop running his mouth so Mr. Gilbert would be adding wood as we carried it in..Any friend of Jons has been through this..Mr. Gilbert was a great dad and husband...I’m sure he will be missed..
