Obituary of Roger L. Lemire

Roger L. Lemire, age 73, of Thayer Street, Putnam, died Tuesday July 24, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Pearl Lemire. He was born November 9, 1933 in Leominster, MA, son of Edwin and Julia (Downey) Lemire. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Air Force, honorably discharged May 8, 1956. Roger was an Aerospace Engineer working for Northrop Corporation for several years. Roger spent his youth in Providence, RI, he lived many years on the west coast, before returning to the eastern seaboard. In 2005 he published a children's book "Pumpkin and Lumpkin", in addition to his story telling and great imagination, he was an artist and painter. Roger had a great love for people and those that knew him will miss him. He leaves his wife Pearl, his children: Natalie Fici and husband David, of Tampa, FL; Allen Lemire of Florida; Russell Lemire and wife Christina of Lakeland FL; His siblings; Marie Daly of Fitchburg, MA; Rachelle Hamlin of Bradford, ME; Richard Lemire of Plymouth, NC; Loreen Daniels of Nashua, NH; stepchildren; Richard Gott, Jr. of N. Providence, RI: Lisa Neundorf and husband John of Ledyard; Amy Carpenter of Woodstock; and several loving grandchildren, his close friends Henry Lameroux and Denis Leslie. A Graveside Service will be Friday, July 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM in Grove Street Cemetery, Grove Street, Putnam with Military Honors.
