Obituary of William J. Richardson

William J. Richardson, age 85, of Maple Court, Danielson, formerly of Putnam, died Monday June 4th at the Westview Health Care Center in Dayville. He was born September 2, 1921 in Killingly, son of the late Leroy and Luna (Mason) Richardson. He made his home in the Putnam and Danielson area. He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the US Army. In the 1970's he operated the Attawaugan Hotel in Danielson. He worked for over twenty years for the Department of Mental Retardation for the State of Connecticut, retiring in 1983. He leaves his children: David Richardson and his wife Helen of Woodstock; Alfred Richardson and his wife Cindy of Canterbury; William Richardson of Putnam; his grandchildren: Andrew; Heather; Lisa, his siblings: Elizabeth; Henry; Arthur. He was predeceased by his former wife Rita (Bonosconi) Richardson. Funeral Services are Private. The Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam is in charge of the arrangements.
