POMFRET CENTER- Margaret M. Erskine, age 90, of Pomfret Center, died Thursday morning at Haven Health in Danielson, wife of the late Arthur Erskine. He died March 2, 1982. She was born August 11, 1916 in Pomfret, daughter of the late Edward and Addie Mae (Bryden) Murray. She has made her home in Pomfret all her life, an active member of the Pomfret Senior Citizens, an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed knitting, cooking and crocheting. She leaves her children, Raymond Erskine of Pomfret, Beverly Aubin of Pomfret, Barbara Bourque of North Grosvenordale, Shirley Coan of Danielson; a brother Frank Murray of Voluntown; a sister, Elsie Jolly of Pomfret; ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter. She was predeceased by two sons, Arthur Erskine, Jr. and James Erskine. The Funeral will be 10:30 am Monday from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Most Holy Trinity Church, 568 Pomfret Street, Pomfret.
