Obituary of Karen M. Hoyt

Karen M. Hoyt, age62, of Margaret Henry Rd, Sterling, died unexpectedly Friday at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was born September 6, 1944 in Putnam, daughter of Barbara (Menard) Herindeen and the late George Mease. She worked as a florist at Stop & Shop in Dayville for the last 15 years working in the floral and produce departments. Karen was also a license Hair Dresser. She has made her home in Sterling for the last eight years, formerly of Dayville. She was a graduate of ST Mary School and a former communicate of ST Mary Church of the Visitation. Karen enjoyed spenting time at Hampton Beach, SeaWorld in Florida, NASCAR racing, her cats and her family. She leaves her mother Barbara of Woodstock; her children; Jeffrey Goglia and companion Rebecca Howard of Danielson; Robin Hart and her husband Ronald of Dayville; Joshua Hoyt and his wife Shana of Canterbury; her former husband Robert Hoyt of Sterling; her sister: Lynne Fiorentino of Woodstock; half brothers and sisters; Donn Herindeen of Willington; Debra Bernier of Woodstock; Dann Herindeen of Woodstock; Donna Rossi and her husband Bruno of Thompson; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:30 pm at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Memorial Service at 4:30 pmat the Funeral Home.
