Obituary of Thomas E. Perkinson

Thomas E. Perkinson, age 76 of Robbins Road, Thompson, died Wednesday in the Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla (Gibson) Perkinson, they were married in 1964. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 2, 1929, son of the late Floyd and Anne (Hood) Perkinson. He had made his home in Thompson for the last 19 years. He was a Telephone Repairman and Installer for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Putnam Fish & Game Club, was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed oil painting. In addition to his wife of 36 years he leaves his sons; Ronald Perkinson of Pennsylvania, Steven Perkinson of Sarasota, FL, Thomas Perkinson of Rosenburg, TX, step daughters; Bonnie Andrews of Lakewood, CO, Robin Andrews of Brooklyn, sister; Marie Jacobs of Steven City, VA, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step son Mark Andrews in 2004. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on June 17, 2006 at Quassett Cemetery, Quassett Road, Woodstock. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to The American Cancer Society, 238 West Town Street, Norwich, CT 06360, or The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492.
