Obituary of Edeo Clark, Sr.

Edeo Clark, Sr. 95, of Daniels St. Putnam, formerly of Walnut Street, died Monday morning at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Irene Loretta (Emond) Clark, they were married November 28, 1935, and would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary this November. He was born April 15, 1910 in Wallagrass, Maine, son of Joseph James and Phabienne (Lausier) Clark. He worked in construction with the Clark Construction Company from 1960 to 1973, working at the Constitution Plaza in Hartford. He also worked as a core maker at the former Putnam Foundry in Putnam from 1928 to 1960, and worked at the Bowen House in Woodstock in the late 1930s. He had made his home in Putnam since 1921, he enjoyed working outdoors, caring for his gardens and his yard. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather, and will be missed. He leaves in addition to his wife, three sons: Edeo Clark, Jr. of Putnam; Gerald Clark and his wife Joyce of Pomfret Center; James Clark and his wife Daryle of Woodstock; two daughters: Naomi Regis and her husband Richard of Brooklyn; Carol Regis and her husband Raymond of Dayville; Eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. He was predeceased by a son Dwain Clark; three brothers: David Clark; Harold Clark; George Clark; four sisters: Naomi Clark; Florence Harper; Edea Madden; Lorina Schmidt. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to ST Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
