Obituary of George Joseph Millow

George J. Millow, 91 of Niantic, CT, died Monday evening at the Groton Regency in Groton. He was the husband of Janet Agnes (Smith) Millow, she died in 1986. He was born in Tarrytown, NY, December 20, 1913, son of the late Joseph and the late Veronica (Lesko) Millow. He worked as a welder for Electric Boat in Groton for twenty years, he retired in 1978, he also was employed by General Electric in Schenectady, NY in the mid 1950s. He had made his home in the Niantic area since 1958. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U S Navy. After retiring he enjoyed traveling with his nephew. He was a fan of New York Yankee Baseball, an avid reader, he enjoyed walking and painting. He leaves a daughter: Patricia Maxson and her husband Richard of Putnam, a grandson: Sean of New York, NY; he was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services are private.
