Gertrude M. Bellerive, 84, of Ballou Street, Putnam, formerly of Woodstock Ave, Putnam, CT, died February 22, 2010 at the Day Kimball Hospital. Beloved wife of Roland O. Bellerive, they were married May 4, 1946 in ST Mary Church of the Visitation, he died March 28, 2006. She was born January 18, 1926 in Putnam, daughter of the late Edmond and Emerence (Charon) Durocher. She was employed for over 47 years as a Raw Silk Spinner at the former Belding Hemmingway Mill in Putnam. She was a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation. Gertrude was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, served as vice president and secretary for the Putnam Senior Citizens and also a member of the North Grosvenordale Senior Citizens. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves a son: Roland A. Bellerive and his wife Nancy of Attleboro, MA; grandchildren: Kim Durand and husband Gary of Thompson; Carrie Proulx and husband David of Thompson; Christopher Bellerive and wife Renee of Dudley, MA, great-grandchildren: Monique Mailloux and husband Jeffrey of Putnam; Alica Durand of Thompson; Gabrielle Durand of Thompson; Christina Proulx of Ronkonkoma, NY; Alexandria Bellerive of Dudley, MA; Madison Bellerive of Dudley, MA: a great great grandsons: Jacob Mailloux and Evan Mailloux, a niece Fran Grasso of Napa Valley CA. The Funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 am from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at ST Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial in ST Mary Cemetery, Putnam. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of NE CT, P.O.
