Obituary of Eldora Rose Verraneault

Eldora Rose Verraneault, 89, of Putnam Pike, Dayville, died Tuesday September 29, 2009 at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Verraneault. They were married June 17, 1939; he died December 11, 1996. She was born January 11, 1920 in Ballouville, daughter of the late Alfred and Laura (Labrecque) Rainey. She was a home maker and had worked in area mills. She made her home in the Ballouville-Attawaugan area for over 60 years; she was a communicant of St. Joseph Church Dayville. She enjoyed oil painting and crossword puzzles. She spent many hours in her gardens taking care of her flowers. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great great-grandmother. She leaves a son Alfred "Joe" Verraneault from Eastford; three daughters Dorothy Chenard of North Windham, Rita Spraske of Attawaugan, Irene Meagher of Thornton, CO, twelve grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Norman Verraneault in December of 1963. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at ST Joseph Church, 350 Hartford Pike Dayville. Calling Hours are 9:00 to 10:30 AM Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson. Burial in ST. Joseph Cemetery, Dayville.
