Barbara A. Remington 56, of Dyer Street, Danielson, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of William Remington; they were married September 20, 1975. She was born May 1, 1953 in Putnam, daughter of the late John and Dorothy Carpenter. She was a 1975 graduate of Putnam High School. She was employed for over twenty years at Danielson Curtain and ten years at C & M. She had made her home in the Danielson - Sterling area most of her life. She enjoyed collecting Cat Figurines. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She leaves her husband William; her son Jason Remington and his wife Angela of Ballouville; siblings David Carpenter and his wife Jeanne of Long Beach, Miss; Nancy Smith of Danielson; her grandchildren William; Jacob; Brandon, Samantha; her mother-in-law Dorothy Remington of Oneco; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 AM in the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral home. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Oneco.
