Obituary of Ronald G. King

Ronald G. King, Sr., 63, of Reynolds St. Danielson, died suddenly at home Friday morning, July 23, 2010. He was born November 3, 1946 in East Hartford, CT. He was predeceased by his parents George and Blanche (Paquette) King and his stepmother (who raised him) Florence King. He leaves behind, Theresa (Charbonneau) King, his wife of 28 years. He is also survived by his children, Ronald G. King, Jr. of Killingly, Cathy Sue King of Danielson, Robert Caswell of Danielson, and Melissa Herman, and her husband Nate of Frederick, MD. He is also survived by his five siblings, Thomas King of Putnam, John King of Belgrade Lakes, ME., Betty Perkins and her husband John of Woodstock, Maureen Baker and her husband William of Danielson, Nancy Hamel and her husband Art of Putnam and Elaine Burnett of Danielson. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, a great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Ron worked at Pryms in Dayville until the mill closed in 1990. In 1993 he began working at Pallflex in Putnam and has worked there since then. In 1995 after years of work and dedication Ron received his Associates Degree from QVCC. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10:15 at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St. Danielson, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National MS Society - Connecticut Chapter, 659 Tower Avenue, Hartford, and CT 06112.
