Obituary of Edith A. Baranski

Edith A. Baranski, 61, of Quaddick Town Farm Road, Thompson, died unexpectedly Friday, April 23, 2010 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Baranski, Jr. She was born May 10, 1948 in Putnam, daughter of the late Rene Romeo and Edith Theresa (Courcy) Dion. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church in Wauregan and attended the Sacred Heart School, she also attended schools in Plainfield and Griswold. She was employed by the State of Connecticut at the University of Connecticut at Storrs, with the DLR, for the last 20 years. Edith enjoyed her flower gardens, NASCAR Racing # 20, bird watching. She was an avid fan of UCONN Women's Basketball. She made her home in Plainfield for many years, moving to Thompson twelve years ago. She leaves her husband of nine years, Robert, her two sons: Guy A. Pulver and his wife Sharon of Brooklyn; Jon L. Pulver and his wife Laberta of Plainfield, siblings: Mark A. Dion of Woodlawn, TN; Leonard W. Dion of East Windsor; Kathleen M. St. John of Lafayette, LA; Yvonne E. Morin of Putnam; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Calling Hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30 PM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
