Obituary of John L. Morrison

John L. "One Eye" Morrison, 51, of Steven Street, Danielson, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of Barbara "Bobbi" (Lussier) Morrison; they were married September 21, 1979. He was born January 30, 1958 in Putnam, son of the late Robert L. and Elizabeth (Cooke) Morrison. He made his home in Danielson all of his life, and was a communicant of St. James Church. He worked at Frito Lay for 28 years. He was a member of the Danielson Elks #1706 for 29 years and was Elk of the Year in 1999-2000. He was an avid Harley Davidson Rider, a Red Sox Fan, and in his youth he excelled in sports including basketball and baseball. He was a loving grandfather and known to his grandchildren as "Papa John". In addition to his wife Bobbi, he leaves his sons: Craig Morrison of Dayville, Corey Morrison of Dayville, brothers Jeffrey Morrison of CA, James Morrison of Danielson, Joel Morrison of Canterbury, grandchildren: Julia, Cayshia and Jayla, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Marcel and Constance Lussier of Dayville, sister-in-law Colette McNamara of New Britain, brother-in-law Kyle Lussier and his wife Audrey of Brooklyn, several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Calling Hours are from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson.
