Obituary of Yvonne Nobrega

Yvonne Nobrega, 84 of Sabin Street, Putnam, died unexpectedly Tuesday November 24, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Nobrega, he died in 1999. She was born February 19, 1925 in Putnam, daughter of the late Joseph and Delia Livernoche Roy. She worked at Cluet Peabody, American Optical and retired from Belding - Hemingway in 1987. She made her home in the North Grosvenordale - Putnam area, a communicant of St. Joseph Church in North Grosvenordale. She was a member of the Happy Singers. Yvonne enjoyed playing bingo, an avid bowler and bowled on a league in Webster. For many years she vacationed at Lake George and in New Hampshire. Yvonne also enjoyed her morning coffee at Price Chopper in Putnam with her friends. She leaves her daughters: Rita Montpelier of Hooksett, NH; Carol Montpelier of Putnam, a sister: Rose Page of Putnam; two grandchildren Robert Montpelier; Michael Montpelier, four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son: Armand Montpelier; brothers: Albert Roy and Ernest Roy. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 12 Main Street, North Grosvenordale. Calling Hours Friday 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
