Obituary of Alan L. Clang

Alan L. Clang, 52 of South Main Street, Brooklyn, CT died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center after injuries he received in an attempt to save his burning home. He was the beloved husband of 25 years of Christine (Bua) Clang. He was born December 12, 1956 in Putnam, son of the late Leo A. and Beatrice (Aubin) Clang. Alan had made his home in the Brooklyn-Killingly area all of his life and worked as a carpenter. He was a former communicant of ST Anne Church in Ballouville. An avid fisherman, especially ice fishing. He enjoyed time with his family, most of all his grandchildren and his dogs, Emma Lou and Charlie. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and could always make people laugh. He leaves his wife, Christine; sons: James and Jerron both of Danielson; brother Roland Clang of Chepachet, RI; sister Brenda Alford of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandchildren; Jasmine and Alexis, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Leo O. Clang and a sister, Joan Thornton. A Memorial Mass will be Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10:30 AM at ST James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. Alan had a great love for the wellbeing of animals. To carry on his love please make a donation to an organization or group that cares for the wellbeing of animals.
